Implementing heart healthy recipes in your diet is a must in order to continue on your quest to preventing a heart attack. Whether you are good cook or not you must pay attention to your cooking habits and start implementing healthy cooking practices. For example, if you use a lot of grease in your foods, you must cut down the amount because it can harm you in the long run. If you use a lot of mayonnaise or butter in your sandwiches, you need to use a lot less. I know for a fact that these changes are difficult to make but they need to be made. There are very good healthy food recipes everywhere on the internet and they are easy to access. So, there are no excuses why you should not include a heart healthy diet. Making changes in your diet can be very difficult but you need to think about all the health benefits you are going to receive. You can do one change at a time to make it easy on yourself. These changes can be done if you set your mind to it. I remember back in 1993 when I wanted to quit caffeine. I was used to drink caffeinated drinks all the time but making this change involved quitting Pepsi which was my favorite drink, chocolate, everyone’s favorite but not mine, coffee and tea. But you know what? I did it because I really wanted to do it. I replaced everything for caffeine free drinks and I enjoy them. I even cut down sodas totally.I was never a chocolate person so quitting was not difficult. I do enjoy a small piece from time to time. The key here is to cut down to a level that is healthy for you. By implementing a healthy diet, your cholesterol level and your high blood pressure will improve. If you smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, or do drugs, you must quit. If you do not do any exercise you must start. Start at least with short walks and do it as much as you can tolerate. All those things can improve your health. Believe me, I work in a Hospital and it breaks my heart to see people suffering everyday because they did not take care of themselves. Start with one healthy recipe a day and continue a healthy living so you can continue to enjoy life to its fullest and continue to smile till the end of your days.
